Storage & load out at BOW Terminal: 107 monopile foundations, including one for the offshore substation

BOW Terminal Eemshaven was selected by Jan De Nul Group as the marshalling yard for the Gode Wind 3 and Borkum Riffgrund 3 offshore wind farms, developed by Ørsted Wind Power A/S. These wind farms, located in the German North Sea, have a combined capacity of 1,142 MW—enough to power approximately 1.2 million German households annually.

Jan De Nul Group is handling the transport and installation of 107 monopile foundations, including one for the offshore substation, each weighing around 1,500 tonnes. The project began in the summer of 2023, with full commercial operations expected in early 2025. BOW Terminal is proud to contribute to this significant project at the Beatrix port in Eemshaven. The project is nearing completion.
