Borssele 3/4/5
MHI Vestas expanded its operations in the Netherlands through a long-term agreement with BOW Terminal, securing 20 hectares of land at the Port of Vlissingen. This partnership established a new pre-assembly facility to support multiple offshore wind farms in the North Sea region, including major projects such as Borssele III & IV, Norther, and Northwester. BOW Terminal, with its prime location and extensive experience with handling offshore wind components, began operations for MHI Vestas in the autumn of 2018.
The Borssele III & IV offshore wind farm, operated by Blauwwind, covers 146 kmĀ², features 77 turbines and has a total capacity of 731.5 MW. This project generates renewable energy equivalent to 2.5% of the Netherlands’ electricity demand, furthering the nation’s shift toward sustainable energy sources.
